Fixed fee accounting, with every price published

You see the price before you commit, agree it before work begins, and pay that number at the end. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted first, never added to an invoice afterwards.

What fixed means here

Three commitments, not a marketing word

Plenty of firms say fixed fee and mean an estimate. These are the parts that make it real.

01 / Published

Priced before you enquire

Standard work has its price on this site. You do not have to book a call to find out what a return costs.

02 / Scoped

The scope is written down

Each price lists what it includes, so you know what you are buying and where the edges of it are.

03 / Quoted

Changes are quoted, not billed

If something falls outside your scope, it gets quoted in writing and waits for your approval before any work happens.

A fixed fee moves the risk of a slow job off you and onto us.

When the price is agreed up front, running the job efficiently is our problem rather than your cost. You can also ask a question without watching a meter, which is where most tax problems get caught early.

The numbers

What our fixed fees actually are

Every price includes GST. These are the starting prices for standard work, with the full tier breakdown on the pricing page.

NOTEFixed prices assume reconciled, tax-ready records, in any major software or a tidy spreadsheet. Books not there yet? Bookkeeping is $50/hr with an estimate before we start, and it is the one service we bill by time because the work genuinely varies.
Being straight about it

When we quote instead of publishing a price

A published price only works where the work is predictable. Where it is not, you still get a fixed number in writing before we begin.

Complex structures and events

Payroll and super obligations, multiple entities, fixed asset registers, business sales and restructures. We scope it with you and quote a fixed fee for your circumstances.

Years of catching up

Nobody knows the state of the records until someone looks. We quote what we can see and come back to you in writing before going further. See overdue tax returns.

Books that need work first

Bookkeeping is charged at $50 per hour with an estimate up front, because the size of the job depends on what is in the file. Once the books are reconciled, your return goes back onto a fixed fee.

What never changes

You approve the number before the work happens. That holds whether the price came off this page or out of a quote written for you.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about fixed fees

More on the reasoning in our guide to fixed fee vs hourly accountants.

What makes the fee fixed?

The price for standard work is published on this site and agreed before any work begins. It does not move because the job took longer than expected. That risk sits with us, which is the point of pricing this way.

What if my situation turns out to be more complex than the tier?

We tell you before we do the work, not after. Anything outside the scope of your tier is quoted in writing and waits for your go-ahead. Complex engagements are still fixed, they are just quoted for your circumstances rather than published.

What do I need to provide for the fixed fee to hold?

Tax-ready records: reconciled accounts in whatever software you use (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Wave, Reckon, Sage, Zoho Books and others), or a tidy spreadsheet for simpler entities. Not sure yours qualify? Send what you have and we'll tell you. If the books need work first, bookkeeping support is $50 per hour with an estimate before we start.

Is GST included in the prices?

Yes. Every price on this site includes GST, so the number you see is the number you pay.

Who prepares my return?

A registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Not a junior, not an algorithm.
